We have, and we know how frustrating it can be to discover missed opportunities just a little too late. Published tour guides and tourist information centres won’t be able to pass on the local know-how that we have gathered over two generations of advice, experience and living in the area.

We love to share the restaurants, pubs, farm shops, cafes, picnic areas, photo-opportunity spots, and unusual, quirky features that we have uncovered on our travels in the South and Southwest.  Where possible, we like to include a little bit of background information or history of a place in our guides, snippets of local lore, and strange-but-true facts to help you get a better feel for the place you are visiting.
